Newborn Prep Guide

A quick guide on how to prepare for your in home

newborn session

IslaNewborn2025-79.jpg

Thank you for booking your newborn session with me, Paige Cordeiro and trusting me to capture these moments with your newest little one.

In this prep guide are some tips on how to prepare for our session but ultimately we will follow babies lead :)

Please do not feel stressed out about the session. I am unfazed by all things newborn and baby. Crying and fussing are all completely normal and welcomed during a session. I also highly encourage regular feedings and changes during our session as well. There is no rush.

This is a prep guide but that's all it is. A guide.

You can follow it to a T or you can open the door the day of the session and have it be just be any other day, it is completely up to you and what you'd like to see from the session.

Home Prep

- Completely open all curtains and blinds in the rooms you'd like to use for the session. Generally
these would include the nursery, the master bedroom and general living area.

- Ideally de-clutter these spaces as much as possible. Floors, beds, tabletops and nightstands should
be clear of mugs, laptops, etc (less is more). De-cluttering theses spaces doesn't mean you need
to Home-Edit your home for my arrival! Huck it all into the darkest room of the house and shut
the door, I hold no judgement! I also want to note that I have two kids of my own. I understand
that life with a newborn at home can feel upside down. The last thing I'm there to do is judge
whether your sink is clean or dust on the shelf so please do not actually clean your home for this
session, just de-clutter a bit and you're good to go!

- If you'd like any photos with your little ones skin exposed I'd recommend choosing the room/area
you'd like those images to be in and mid session turn the heat on in that room to warm it up.
